Roots was born from a straightforward concept and a drive to bring it to life. In 1973, Michael Budman and Don Green established Roots. They were inspired by their love for Ontario’s Algonquin Park and everything it symbolized to them. Originating in Toronto with footwear, Roots expanded to include premium leather bags, jackets, accessories, their iconic salt & pepper sweats, natural fiber clothing, and home goods. The leather items have always been and remain crafted in Canada at our own facility in Toronto.
